  WELCOME TO SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS

Encouraging and providing support for members of the British Armed Forces on overseas Operations and their families at home...

Since our launch in March 2003 over 70,000 morale boosting care parcels

have been sent to those on the frontline in Afghanistan and Iraq.

We support our boys and girls throughout their tour, everyday, not just at Christmas!

We're delighted to announce that Enterprise have selected Support Our Soldiers as their Charity of the Year and as such will be supporting us throughout 2010.  Our sincere thanks to Rachel Bitters and the Charity Committee, and we very much look forward to working with them during the coming year

For more information about Enterprise please visit their website www.enterprise.plc.uk

**  CARE PACKAGES **

Care or welfare packages are much appreciated by members of the Armed Forces serving overseas and are a great way for you to let them know that you're thinking about them.  SOS has permission from the MOD and BFPO to send parcels but we do so under very strict guidelines. For more information about sending care or welfare parcels including ideas on what to send to your loved ones please visit our Care Packages page

Please note if you are considering organising a parcel collection through work, school or organisation you must register this with your Local Representative or Head Office before proceeding.  We cannot accept multiple parcels or large volumes of parcel fillers which have not been registered with us and which have been prepared without our guidance

Here at Support Our Soldiers we fill a particular and very important role, and that is helping on a day to day basis our Servicemen and women serving overseas.  We don't question the reasons for them being there, we simply do our very best for them and their families.

It should never be under estimated what difference a care package or thank you note can make to a soldier thousands of miles away from home, nor a kind word to a mum who's sick with worry whilst her son or daughter is away on tour.

With your help we've sent fridges to the fobs, provided solar power chargers, filled libraries with books and dvds, decorated welfare huts, and much, much more. Every day we receive requests for help and every day we do our very best to fulfil these.

Through Support Our Soldiers you can let our brave boys and girls know just how proud you are of them and thank them for the dedication, commitment and sacrifices which they make for us. So please do take a look through the site, check out the many ways in which you can help, and see how together we can make a difference.

To see how you can help and really make a difference to the boys and girls on overseas operations and their families at home please visit our Appeals page
