Friday 1st August - Support Our Soldiers - An Evening of Entertainment and Fundraising
The event, very kindly organised by Val Holloran, is to be held at Mariners Club, Filtrona Park, Shaftsbury Avenue, Simonside Industrial Estate, South Shields. There will be a buffet and raffles and proceeds will be used to provide care packages predominantly to Afghanistan and Iraq, and a contribution will also be made to the Rehabilitation Centre. 22nd to 25th August 2008 - Master Potter Cheadle SOS Charity Weekend
A fun packed weekend planned starting Friday night with live music. Saturday and Sunday Day time is for children with face painting, donkey rides, Kids fancy dress, BBQ etc. Saturday night will be an Adults fancy dress with a 70's theme. Sunday night is pool and darts challenge. Monday daytime is again centred around the children all rounded off with a Charity Auction at 8:00p.m. There will also be some stalls and of course SOS merchandise on sale. 5th, 6th and 7th September 2008 - The Victory Show at Cosby
Amanda and volunteers will be camping out 'Afghanistan' style with limited rations, basic toiletries, no mobiles except a 10 minute welfare call, no changes of clothing - just Army issue all weekend! The only respite will be care packages which will hopefully friends will bring along!
