PATRIOTIC REMEMBRANCE IN MEMORIAM MISSING YOU
GENERAL PTSD
The following poem was written by Peter Southern who suffers from PTSD. His wife Sue is his carer. She wanted to show how PTSD affected not only Peter, but her as well, 'The Hidden Victim'.
The link is to the article in the Telegraph. The poem is Peter's way of telling Sue what she means to him, and to thank her for standing by him. The Hidden Victim
Without you
Without you, I am nothing, just an empty shell
Without you, I would be held in the grip of the jaws of hell
Without you, who would pick up the pieces and help me mend?
Without you, my life would surely be at an end
Without you, I would be lost, just a wandering soul
Without you, my live is incomplete, you make me whole
Without you, I have nothing, nothing to love
Without you, there is no me for you are my one and only love
For Sue and all the other 'Hidden Victims'

Ordinary Soldier
He's just an ordinary soldier
A man so brave and true
He killed three men today
Well, that's what soldiers do
He makes no fuss about it
He shouts it not out loud
But he saved anothers life today
That makes him oh so proud
Sometimes when battles rage
He sees the tradgedy and pain
This causes him to wonder
If he'll ever get back home again
Sometimes at night in fitful sleep
His devils they return
But with the mornings rising light
He sends them back to burn
He makes no fuss about it
He's not got much to say
For he's just an ordinary soldier
And it's the way he earns his pay.
